Introduction to Student Association

The School of Life Sciences has four affiliated student associations, including the Green Life Association of Peking University, the Life Science Industry Association of Peking University, the Stray Cat Care Association of Peking University Students, and the Traditional Clothing Culture Student Exchange Association of Peking University. The student associations carry out a series of club activities to serve student needs and campus culture. 

The Peking University Students' Green Life Association is a club that focuses on nature observation and popularization of science, as well as ecological protection on campus. The association's main activities include phenological monitoring and bird watching on campus, as well as the daily maintenance of the Yanyuan Nature Reserve. The association also frequently organizes popular science lectures and off-campus group activities to promote students' understanding of nature and life.

Life Science Industry Association (LSIA), established in January 2014, is a platform for communications between universities, enterprises, and governments, as well as a venue to bring together talents and funds to study China's life science industry and provide advice and feedback to them. At the same time, the association aims to provide a platform for research, communication, and practice for students who are interested in the life sciences industry. It provides knowledge of the industry and prepares students who will work in the industry after graduation.

Organized a visit to BPS Company

Peking University Stray Cats Caring Association (SCCA) is a voluntary student club with the main goal of caring for and rescuing stray cats on campus. SCCA is committed to reducing the number of stray cats on campus, regulating human-cat conflicts, and providing basic rescue and protection for stray cats on campus. SCCA conducts daily feeding, TNR, medical rescue, and adoption activities throughout the year. With the joint efforts of the members of SCCA, the number of stray cats on campus has been reduced from more than 300 at the beginning to less than 50 at the lowest, and has found new homes for over 500 stray cats.

The Peking University Traditional Clothing Culture Exchange Association is composed of a group of Peking University students admiring profound and ancient beauty. The club aims to bring together people who love traditional clothes, convey human feelings, and promote traditional culture. On weekdays, members conduct Hanfu travel, work on handicrafts, listen to lectures, and learn about classical aesthetics. During traditional holidays, the association hosts parties showcasing traditional Chinese culture.
